LEFT: Any trip to Tulsa requires a trip to the Philtower Building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its classic art deco architectural style has graced the Tulsa skyline since it was completed in 1927 as the City's tallest skyscraper The inside is something one has to see to believe! Monogrammed doorknobs, brass elevator doors, travertine marble floor and a 25-foot-high vaulted ceiling with interlocking tracery in the lobby. The roof is polychromed red and green tile. It was built by Waite Phillips, who also built Philbrook (another must-see Tulsa landmark). The Philtower Building is still home for some of Tulsa's finest businesses.
