Above: A 1930 picture taken of B. Joan Thurman and Roy W. Thurman at Riverside Park in Tulsa. Thanks to Joan Case for this great photo. She says that Riverside Park had a swimming pool, ball park, picnic grounds, and Open Air Dance Hall with live big bank music in the summer. It was owned by J.A. Cline, Joan Case's grandfather, at 71st and Peoria, Tulsa, along the banks of the Arkansas River. |
