Utica Square was one of Tulsa's first shopping centers, and it is still in existence. There used to be a giant Santa Claus along the center of this outdoor mall. Families would drive up to Santa, roll down the windows, and the children in the car could converse with him -- kind of an early speaker system like the fast food restaurants use. This concept was way ahead of its time.
