Tulsa: The Oil Capitol of the World

LEFT: A view of the International Petroleum Exposition, which looks as though it was taken in the 1930s. The IPE was always held at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. It was a trade show for the oil industry.

Below: The Golden Driller was created for the IPE and has been the subject of several reconstructions over the years.  Jim Beam even commissioned a whiskey bottle that looks like him (below).
