JEREMY K. WARD

 

Jeremy graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration—double majoring in Management Information Systems and Finance.  For a short time thereafter, he worked in the information technology industry.

 

Realizing his real ambition was to practice law, he decided to attend the University of Tulsa, College of Law.  Jeremy graduated from TU with honors in 2006.  During that time, he was elected as an Articles Editor for the Energy Law Journal, president of the Information Technology Society, and vice-president of the Military Law Society. 

 

While serving on the Energy Journal, Jeremy was honored by having his case note published, “If It’s Worth a Dam, It’s “Navigable Waters”: A Proposed Revision of Section 3(8) of the FPA Derived from Decisions Followed in FPL Energy Maine Hydro LLC v. FERC.”  Jeremy received the Energy Journal’s highly regarded award for “Editorial Excellence” in 2006. 

 

Jeremy was a member of TU’s exclusive honors fraternity, Phi Delta Phi and he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Advanced Torts and International Petroleum Transactions.  Before receiving a fulltime position with the firm, Jeremy interned here for two summers and also interned for the honorable Federal Magistrate Judge Paul J. Cleary of the Northern District of Oklahoma.

 

Jeremy was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in September 2006 and is a member of the Tulsa County and Oklahoma Bar Associations and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).  He is admitted to practice before all of the federal courts in Oklahoma.  His primary practice area is civil litigation which includes complex business litigation, premises liability, fire loss litigation, real estate transactions, over-the-road trucking, family law, products liability, contract disputes, construction defects, and energy and natural resource litigation.

 

In 2005, Jeremy began the Green Country Delta Chapter of Delta Waterfowl, a waterfowl conservation organization, in which he is still an active participant.  He enjoys hunting, playing ice hockey, golf, and many other outdoor activities.

 

Jeremy was selected to be a Member of “Cambridge Who’s Who for 2008.” He is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel.  He has been appointed to Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals for the 2008-2009 Honors Edition of the Who’s Who Registry.
